Job Opportunity: Heavy Equipment Operator at Royal Electric Company

Royal Electric Company is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for our Airfield Lighting projects at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The project is scheduled to start in March 2025 and will run through August 2025.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators (CAT 336, 349), skid steers, water trucks, and wheel loaders
• Experience in water, sewer, storm drain, or underground utility fields
• Knowledge of construction stakes, grades, and confined space entry
• Understanding of OSHA excavation standards and electrical systems
• Ability to perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections and maintain logs
• Experience with deep excavations (>15 ft) is preferred
• Must be eligible for airport badging

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $20-24/hr. This is a private base rate, with potential eligibility for prevailing wage/Davis Bacon benefits depending on the project. Additional fringe benefits may be provided.
