Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for projects in the Buffalo, NY area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $50/hour based on experience and skill level.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
• Experience in commercial, civil, utility, roadway, or site development projects.
• OSHA 10 Certification is a plus, but not required.
• CDL, NCCCO, or other equipment certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, skid steers, backhoes, motor graders, rollers, telehandlers, and off-road equipment.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
• Load, move, and stockpile materials safely and efficiently.
• Excavate around existing underground utilities.
• Read grade stakes, site plans, and blueprints.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and ground crews.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and jobsite safety requirements.
