Job summary

Synergen is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for Synergen Construction, a Synergen Company. The role requires 3+ years of equipment operating experience, a High School Diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

You will read construction plans, operate heavy equipment, and mentor junior operators on diverse projects. Work involves outdoor environments with exposure to hydrocarbons and varying weather.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of equipment operating experience required.
• High School Diploma or greater preferred.
• Current Driver’s License required.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• General understanding of soil and material properties is beneficial.
• Ability to interpret survey markers (stakes, hubs, control points).
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment maintenance in a proficient manner.
• Perform sloping, stripping, grading, backfilling, and clearing techniques at an expert level.
• Utilize grade control techniques.
• Utilize advanced technologies related to the construction industry.
• Read, interpret, and implement construction plans.
• Mentor and develop Junior Equipment Operators.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, engineers, and inspectors.
