Millcreek Metals in Blackfoot, ID is seeking a safety-minded Heavy Equipment Operator who takes pride in doing things the right way. If you enjoy running big machines and teamwork matters, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll keep materials flowing in the yard, operate loaders and forklifts, load trucks, move scrap, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections. A strong work ethic and reliability are essential in our fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of heavy equipment experience.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Must be safety-minded and reliable.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and entering/exiting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment at a professional level (material handlers, loaders, forklifts, skid steers, and more).
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Move and organize scrap materials for processing and recycling.
• Perform pre- and post-trip equipment inspections.
• Identify maintenance issues and communicate with the maintenance team.
• Follow safety protocols consistently.
• Deliver a positive, safe customer experience to drivers and vendors.
• Collaborate with teammates to keep the yard and materials flowing.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be at the heart of our operation-keeping materials flowing and the yard running smoothly:

• Operate heavy equipment like a pro (material handlers, loaders, forklifts, skid steers & more)
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely
• Move and organize scrap materials for processing and recycling
• Perform pre- and post-trip equipment inspections (because safety starts with you)
• Spot maintenance issues early and communicate with our maintenance team
• Follow safety protocols like it's second nature
• Deliver a "WOW" customer experience to drivers, vendors, and teammates
• Jump in where needed-because teamwork is how we win
