Job summary

PF Holdings seeks an Equipment Operator to safely operate a Loader and other heavy equipment at our Arkansas facility. You will perform daily maintenance, follow directions from supervisors, and help train new workers in safe operation.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or GED, a Class C Driver License, and have at least 2 years of Loader experience. Emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Loader and other heavy equipment safely.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks.

  • Maintain awareness of ground disturbance safety issues.
  • Train new employees in Loader operation.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
  • Work safely as part of a team to prevent injuries.
  • Operate other heavy equipment as required.

Job description

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader and other Heavy Equipment. This position operates loaders equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stock pile aggregates.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
  • Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
  • Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; Move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material.
  • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader.
  • Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
  • Operate other heavy equipment and perform other related duties as required.
Other Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Possess Class C Driver License
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working operating a Loader is preferred
Mental and Physical Requirements
  • Able to read, speak and write English.
  • Work performed in a plant environment. Exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside.
  • Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull 75 lbs. or more.
  • Frequently required to walk on unleveled ground.
  • Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities.
  • Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating things.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility
  • Sensitive to confidential information.
  • Must work independently and as a member of a team.
