Circular Services is hiring a Recycling Maintenance Mechanic in Jersey City, NJ. The role involves routine maintenance and servicing of trucks and heavy equipment, diagnosing issues with diagnostics tools, and updating maintenance records.

Candidates should have at least one year of heavy equipment maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of safety regulations to protect workers in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• State issued, valid Driver’s License.
• 1+ years of experience with heavy equipment maintenance, including diesel engine repair.
• Knowledge of major parts and systems on light and heavy equipment.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local health and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Diagnostics using computerized testing equipment.
• Enter data in maintenance management system.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services.
• Service of attachments such as winches, blades, and side booms.
• Perform major repairs when necessary.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment including safety concerns to leadership on site.
• Perform emergency repairs in the field.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
