Job summary

Holub Recycling, Inc. / City Scrap & Salvage seeks a skilled Equipment Mechanic to keep our recycling operation running efficiently. You will perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles and heavy equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and can work independently or as part of a team in a safety-conscious environment. Prior experience in heavy equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanic, diesel mechanic, heavy-equipment technician, or similar role preferred.
• Experience working on trucks, heavy equipment, hydraulics, diesel engines, or industrial machinery encouraged to apply.
• Ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, organized, and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and complete preventive maintenance.
• Replace worn or damaged components and repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, and mechanical systems.

The Equipment Mechanic will perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities may include diagnosing mechanical problems, completing preventive maintenance, replacing worn or damaged components, and troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, engine, and mechanical systems. The mechanic will also identify potential equipment problems before they lead to larger repairs or unnecessary downtime.
