Job summary
Edw. C. Levy Co. is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Whitesville Mill Services in Crawfordsville, IN. This role includes repair and maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction equipment and opportunities for career advancement to Lead Man or Maintenance Manager. The compensation is $25.00 per hour, with a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution, tuition reimbursement, and more.
Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb, or crawl under or on top of equipment.
Ability to manipulate components in hard-to-reach places with hands or tools.
Responsibilities
Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping.
Dismantle and reassemble trucks, machines, and equipment to access problem areas.
Maintain work area for safe movement and access.
Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
Read schematics.
Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot malfunctions.
Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components.
Meet customer service expectations.
