Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at our Ghent, KY location. You will repair and maintain heavy-duty off-road equipment, with potential career progression into leadership roles, while working in a safety-conscious team environment.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting using diagnostic software, welding and fabrication skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards within a long-established, family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety rules.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of off-road heavy equipment and diesel systems.
• Experience with hydraulics, braking, electrical and driveline subsystems.
• Tier IV emissions experience and ability to read schematics.
• Good verbal and written communication, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping.
• Dismantle and reassemble trucks, machines, and equipment to access problem areas.
• Maintain work area for safe movement and access.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines to locate malfunctions.
• Read schematics.
• Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components.
• Meet customer service expectations.
