Job summary

CW Resources, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our landscaping fleet in Key West. You will diagnose tractors, mowers, trailers, and small engines, ensuring daily readiness and safety. You will also mentor crews on basic maintenance and stay current with manufacturer service updates.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, OSHA knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. Salary and benefits align with state standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years as Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or Small Engine Technician.
• Experience repairing tractors, mowers, trailers, trucks, and small engine equipment.
• Experience in landscaping, construction, municipal, or agricultural settings.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair John Deere tractors with attachments for large-area turf maintenance.
• Service and maintain zero-turn mowers, trucks, trailers, and water truck for daily use.
• Troubleshoot and repair small engines like trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws.
• Test-operate equipment after repairs to ensure proper function and safety.
• Perform welding or fabrication to repair or reinforce parts when needed.
• Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; request replacements as needed.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and securing equipment for transport.
• Train crew members on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance.
