Job summary

Ragle Inc. is seeking a motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic Intern for Summer 2027. This 10-week internship provides hands-on experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment, with mentorship from experienced mechanics in our Equipment Division.

You will gain exposure to diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems, participate in diagnostics, and learn shop and field procedures that may lead to future Co-Op or full-time opportunities with Ragle.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Diesel Technology, Diesel Technology: Field Maintenance, Diesel Technology: Equipment Management, or a closely related diesel/heavy equipment program.
• Strong interest in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic, coachable and safety-minded, able to work in shop and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Gain hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Assist mechanics with diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.
• Learn proper shop safety procedures and professional tool use.
• Assist with equipment servicing and component replacement.
• Support fleet maintenance documentation.
• Gain exposure to shop and field mechanic operations.
• Work alongside an assigned mechanic mentor throughout the internship.
