Job summary

Preferred Materials, Inc., a CRH Company, is seeking a Mechanic II in Florida to maintain and repair mobile equipment, diagnose issues, and ensure safety compliance across operations.

You will follow instructions, perform preventive maintenance, coordinate between operations, and complete road tests. A high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of heavy equipment repair experience are required; Florida Class B CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years maintenance and heavy equipment repair experience.
• Valid Florida Driver's License with fewer than 6 points; Class B CDL preferred.
• Basic diagnostic computer skills desired.
• Ability to diagnose and repair air braking, hydraulic, electrical systems and diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates between Operations to maintain Company, State and Federal schedules.
• Report to work on time when scheduled.
• Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety standards.
• Safely performs maintenance repairs to all Mobile Equipment.
• Maintains and reports on the day-to-day schedules.
• Inspects and verifies all repairs to ensure proper documentation and inventory are maintained.
• Establishes and encourages dedication, pride and high level of detail for all work performed.
• Performs Road Test and Road Calls.
