Job summary

Wiese is seeking a Service Technician to repair material handling equipment in Lafayette, IN. You will be the primary contact for customers, representing the company with professional mechanical service and customer service excellence.

We are looking for a Service Technician to repair our customer's material handling equipment. A Service Technician repairs a wide range of material handling equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, utility vehicles, floor care equipment and more.

You will act as the point of contact between the company and our customers and represent the company in a professional light as you provide the best in mechanical services and customer service.

Specific Duties

• Actively support, promote and lead safety initiatives. Follow all safety policies and procedure. Work safe at all times and report any unsafe work or work environments to management.
• Troubleshooting customer equipment problems. Confer with and obtain approval from the customer before making repairs
• Completing and submitting all required paperwork.
• Providing the best possible customer service, including offering additional Wiese services, added-value items and equipment based on potential customer needs
• Managing your workload effectively

QualificationsQualifications

• For each job, perform hazard assessments and maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills. Able to prioritize your day and self-manage.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch/crawl in confined areas. Comfortable with heights above 15 feet.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record may apply.
• Provide your own hand tools.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and able to quickly learn our software to complete online work orders.
• Demonstratable customer service skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Pre-employment drug screen , physical exam, comprehensive background record check, MVR (motor vehicle record) check, and proof of employment eligibility (E-Verify) are required.
