Job summary

ElectriCom Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to maintain and repair construction equipment used in utility operations. Responsibilities include diagnostics, routine maintenance, and servicing both shop-based and field-based assets such as passenger trucks, directional drills, cable plows, and excavators.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently. CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Must provide personal tools for the role (Tool Allowance program available).
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Must pass a background check and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to complete daily activity reports electronically.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret safety rules and manuals in English.
• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment mechanics.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on field and shop equipment including trucks, drills, plows, and excavators.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues; document service activities.
• Inspect equipment to assess condition and determine repairs.
• Complete required training (OSHA-10, LMS modules) as scheduled.
