Job summary
KBR is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Jacksonville, FL to perform high‑level preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and diesel/gasoline powered construction equipment. The role supports the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program and involves working with tractors, road machines, air compressors, and related gear.
The candidate will provide technical guidance to junior mechanics, assist senior technicians, and handle other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Four years of directly related work experience.
- Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
- Complete the Engineer Equipment Chief Course, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Perform high level preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and gasoline/diesel driven construction equipment.
- Provide technical guidance or training to lower level mechanics and assist higher level mechanics.
- Perform other tasks as reasonably assigned.
