About this role

We are a growing general contractor specializing in commercial construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment and Diesel Mechanic responsible for performing preventive and regular maintenance on our heavy equipment fleet and company vehicles. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in routine maintenance services such as oil changes, inspections, hydraulic servicing, and part replacements. A diesel mechanic background is preferred.

Position Overview:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the functionality, reliability, and safety of heavy machinery and company vehicles by performing scheduled maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. This role requires proven mechanical experience, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment and company vehicles
• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues
• Perform oil changes, hydraulic services, part replacements, and fluid replenishments
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other components
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding equipment conditions and maintenance needs
• Provide recommendations for preventative measures and maintenance schedules

Schedule: 8-hour shift

License/Certification: Driver’s License (Required)

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repairs
• Must pass a background check
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment systems, diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical components
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and schematics
