Job summary

McLennan County is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to service and repair county-owned machinery, including trucks, loaders, excavators, and graders. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and perform routine maintenance to ensure safe operation.

The role requires 3 years of automotive diagnostics/repair experience, a Class A CDL within 6 months, and ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs and services.
• A valid Class A CDL required within six months of hire.
• Evidence of automotive/ASE Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair county heavy equipment including trucks, loaders, excavators, bulldozers, graders, and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and service logs; prepare work orders and cost estimates.
