Job summary

Hydro Excavators, LLC is seeking a skilled automotive/mechanical technician to maintain and repair conventional and specialized equipment. You will diagnose faults, dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery, and ensure safety and performance to manufacturer specs.

The role requires four years of full-time auto mechanic experience, with at least one year in heavy equipment maintenance. CDL-A and ASE certification are highly valued; MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Four years full-time automotive mechanic experience, one year in heavy equipment repair.
• Current ASE certification is preferred and highly regarded.
• Class A commercial driver’s license required or must be certified within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using diagnostic equipment and calibration devices.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
• Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and keep service records.
• Overhaul and test machines to ensure operating efficiency.
• Fit bearings to repair or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
