Job summary

APAC Central is seeking a Mechanic to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment across our Arkansas operations. You will diagnose issues, dismantle and overhaul major components, and mentor junior technicians to uphold safety and reliability standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with 3–6 months of hands-on heavy equipment experience; ASE certs and CDL are preferred. Travel and shift flexibility may be required in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in heavy equipment maintenance a plus.
• 3–6 months of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) preferred; clean driving record is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Ready Mix Trucks, End Dump Trucks, Tractors, Trailers, and Heavy Construction Equipment.
• Diagnose complex mechanical issues and deliver effective solutions for reliability and performance.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain a wide range of equipment using advanced tools and techniques.
• Replace and overhaul major components: engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and more.
• Test, operate, and fine-tune equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor team members during cleaning, assembly, and disassembly tasks.
