Job summary

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a mechanic to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment and trucks. You will diagnose issues, dismantle and rebuild components, and maintain precise records in a safety-focused, fast-paced environment.

Entry-level pay ranges from $20 to $24 per hour with a $1500 sign-on bonus, plus comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Travel and weekend work may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or technical certification in Heavy Equipment Maintenance a plus.
• Minimum 3–6 months of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance or equivalent education/experience.
• ASE certifications and a valid CDL (A or B) preferred; clean driving record is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on ready-mix trucks, end dump trucks, tractors, trailers, and heavy construction equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions for reliability and performance.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and maintain equipment using advanced tools and techniques.
• Document work with accurate time and parts records to ensure compliance and efficiency.
