Job summary

G R Birdwell Construction in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic to service gas and diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs and operate equipment as needed.

Candidates should be able to work outdoors in all weather, follow OSHA guidelines, and communicate clearly with the team. Valid driver's license required; diesel mechanical certifications are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience with gas & diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems required.
• Experience with computer diagnostics and various makes and models of equipment.
• Ability to communicate and diagnose repairs.
• Credited diesel mechanical or trade certifications a plus but not required.
