Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of mining equipment on site, ensuring safety and peak performance. The role requires reading hydraulic and electrical schematics, welding, and fabricating on heavy equipment while complying with Kinross safety standards.
The position follows a rotating 5/4 schedule with flexibility for overtime as needed, supporting continuous operation of mining assets and equipment uptime.
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of mining equipment, ensuring optimal efficiency and safety of all machinery. This role demands advanced expertise in various mechanical systems, including braking, steering, and suspension, as well as proficiency in electronic engine controls and hydraulic systems. The ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics is crucial for effective troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Proficiency with Cat SIS, Cat ET, and Cummins InSite are helpful.
While this role ideally suits an experienced mechanic, we welcome applicants with strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to further develop skill sets.

Work Schedule
This position follows a rotating 5/4 schedule, alternating between day and night shifts. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed is required.
