Job summary

Mariani Enterprises, LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role performs preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse fleet of heavy equipment used in our landscaping projects.

You will work on trucks, loaders, excavators, and other machinery, conduct on-site repairs when needed, document work, and uphold safety and quality standards. A personal tool set is required, with shop tools provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Self-motivated with good time‑management and communication.
• Must supply a personal basic tool set; specialty shop tools will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large, diverse fleet.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections on fleet equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct repairs and overhauls on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment including dump trucks, loaders, excavators, skid steers.
• Execute field maintenance and on-site repairs when required.
• Document work and communicate status with supervisors and team.
• Work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Position Summary:

MD Landscaping is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our landscape company’s maintenance team. This role is responsible for performing thorough preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections, including servicing, greasing, brake work, and general mechanical checks.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on both new and older fleet equipment.
• Conduct corrective repairs and component overhauls such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic valve bodies.
• Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment, including: Dump trucks Transport trucks and trailers Loaders Excavators Skid steers Additional heavy equipment as needed.
• Execute field maintenance and on‑site repairs when required.
• Document work completed and communicate equipment status with supervisors and team members.
• Work independently and manage tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
