Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to build and install mechanical systems on large industrial equipment in Chesapeake, VA. You will read technical drawings, use blueprints and basic hand tools, and inspect and test your work to ensure safety and quality.

Collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams helps keep projects on schedule. Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM with optional overtime on Fridays and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment, install and overhauling components in a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with large components and diesel systems
• Ability to use standard and metric measuring tools
• Previous experience in Heavy Equipment Manufacturing

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic who will help build and install mechanical systems and components on large industrial equipment. The person in this position will work with mechanical systems, motors, pumps, etc. You will need to be proficient with the use of blueprints and basic hand tools. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will inspect and test their work, troubleshoot any misalignments or installation issues, and work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to keep projects on schedule. Attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a strong commitment to safety and quality are essential for success in this role.

Location: Chesapeake VA.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Overtime: Optional overtime available on Fridays and occasionally Saturdays

Compensation: $22/hr-$26/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
