Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to build and install mechanical systems on large industrial equipment in Chesapeake, VA. You will read technical drawings, use blueprints and basic hand tools, and inspect and test your work to ensure safety and quality.

Collaboration with engineering, production, and quality teams helps keep projects on schedule. Schedule is Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM with optional overtime on Fridays and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment, install and overhauling components in a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with large components and diesel systems
• Ability to use standard and metric measuring tools
• Previous experience in Heavy Equipment Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Build and install mechanical systems and components on large industrial equipment.
• Inspect and test work, troubleshoot misalignments or installation issues.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to keep projects on schedule.
