Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is looking for dedicated maintenance-oriented personnel to join our team at the Dallas, TX area. You will be involved in a broad range of duties from operating equipment to troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, supporting the steel fabrication and recycling operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to weather.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift.
• Capable of pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling.
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment.
• Proficient in reading technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
• Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
• Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
• Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
• Valid drivers license
• Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
