Job summary

Komatsu Company-Owned Dealer East is seeking a Class 2 Mechanic/Technician for a 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shift. The role requires a CDL, a clean driving record, and 5+ years of heavy equipment repair experience.

You will diagnose, repair, and service construction and industrial equipment while mentoring junior staff and ensuring top-notch customer service. The position emphasizes strong technical skills, reading/writing English, and the ability to document work clearly for service notes and quotes.

Qualifications

• CDL license, clean driving record required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Strong diagnostic and repair experience with heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to convey repair details in service notes for work orders.
• Mentor less tenured mechanics in the branch operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Mechanic in developing skills and knowledge alongside them.
• Repair, rebuild, or replace engines and other major components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Read and write clear service notes and contribute to quotes for customers.
• Operate heavy equipment and ensure safe, efficient shop operations.
