Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation seeks a Temporary Raw Sugar Warehouse Operator for the SUGAR manufacturing facility in Florida. This rotating shift position operates the VHP dryer, sugar handling systems, dump trucks, and pay loaders to transport, stack and store bulk sugar in the warehouse.

The role requires adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards in a 24/7 environment, with training and certification as necessary.

Qualifications

Must pass company-designated tests to measure basic skills, job skills, mechanical aptitude and/or other interests.
Must be 18 years or older with a good work and disciplinary history.
Must read, write and speak English to understand instructions, communicate via radio, and ensure safety on the job.
Must have driven articulated dump trucks, straight frame dump trucks, tractor trailers, or midsize pay loaders in previous roles (past 5 years).
Must be in good health and able to perform all essential functions including operating heavy equipment and entering the VHP Dryer area.

Responsibilities

Operate the VHP dryer to meet product quality specifications.
Operate sugar scales and conveyors to transfer sugar to/from warehouses.
Drive articulated dump trucks and midsize pay loaders to load, transport, and stack sugar.
Use equipment such as man-lifts, skid-steers and other machinery as needed to support operations.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance, refueling, lubrication, filter changes, and part replacement.
Assist in mechanical repairs and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Maintain documentation of equipment status and maintenance performed.
Keep work areas clean, organized and hazard-free; communicate with Shift Manager.
