Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a heavy equipment operator to join our team in a manufacturing setting. You will read specifications, set guides, monitor operation, perform routine maintenance, and complete daily reports with a focus on safety and quality.

The role emphasizes reliable equipment handling, adherence to procedures, and adaptability to additional tasks as needed within a collaborative environment across North America.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; 2 years related experience in trades or equivalent.
• Must pass an internal certification program.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/instruction manuals.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements.
• Sets stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction.
• Performs routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
• Inspects and completes equipment reports daily.
• Maintains housekeeping in assigned area in a clear and orderly fashion.
• Move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
