Job Summary

As an Oldcastle Loader Operator, you will operate a front-end loader in an outdoor, paved environment. Operators will use loaders to move bulk material throughout a manufacturing facility, while adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine operator adjustments and material requirements
• Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
• Inspect equipment and complete daily reports
• Operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and steering
• Perform other duties as assigned, temporary or permanent, as needed

Job Requirements

• Experience with heavy equipment/front-end loaders
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Able to sit for extended periods during equipment operation on various surfaces
• Able to climb up and down from cab heights multiple times per hour
• Ability to judge distances and operate equipment safely in a busy mulch yard
• Ability to work effectively outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Regularly communicate verbally and hear clearly
• Capable of sitting for long periods and standing for extended times
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs., with team lifting or equipment used for heavier lifts
• Perform physical activities involving bending, crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching
