Job summary

Hoffman Excavating & Paving, LLC is hiring a full-time Heavy Equipment Lead Operator - Foreman to oversee on-site equipment operations at our New Jersey projects. The role requires operating multiple heavy machines, reading blueprints, and coordinating tasks with crews and supervisors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience operating heavy equipment.
• CDL a plus.
• 40 HR OSHA HAZWOPER certificate or willing to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials & equipment.
• Read and follow blueprints to understand task requirements.
• Operate several types of heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.).
• Must be able to work safely around others and obstacles.
• Fluent in English (verbal & written).
• Pre-employment drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment on construction sites (dozers, excavators, loaders).
• Transport equipment to/from job site.
• Load/unload equipment and materials from trucks.
• Ensure safety regulations compliance and maintain a clean site.
