Job Description
1st Shift.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
They are responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of diesel & propane hydraulic forklift equipment. Warehouse maintenance and minor repairs including electric, plumbing, air conditioning, etc. Welding and cutting experience is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily repairs on diesel & propane forklifts.
- Perform daily repairs on warehouse equipment such as dock levelers, roll-up doors, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures on forklifts, including inspections, oil changes, lubrication, grease fittings, bearings, seals, filters, brake services, etc.
- Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Assist in minor and major building and equipment repairs.
- Help develop and implement new procedures in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Report unsafe situations to the supervisor.
- Lead by example in demonstrating proper maintenance procedures.
- Work on miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Operate independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
- Follow safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Travel percentage: 0%-5%.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Experience with Hyster, Taylor, and Caterpillar forklifts (a plus).
- Intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Regularly stand, walk long distances, and communicate verbally.

- Climb ladders or stairs as needed.
- Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 150 pounds occasionally with assistance or machinery.
- Wear safety PPE such as vests, hard hats, gloves, etc.
- Visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Work indoors and outdoors, in extreme weather conditions, on slippery or uneven surfaces, and around machinery and moving objects.
Work Schedule:
1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
