Job summary

Blattner is seeking a shop mechanic to support heavy construction equipment and work tools. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and provide welding/fabrication as needed, with tasks completed with minimal direction.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a 2-year degree or equivalent training, and may hold a CDL with hazmat endorsement. Blattner offers competitive pay, full benefits, and ongoing education.

• Performs repairs on all types of equipment and work tools.
• Operates equipment to diagnose problems and inspects equipment for defects.
• Assists supervisors, co-workers with a variety of mechanic, and related tasks as necessary.
• Highly aware of safety precautions, policies, and procedures and is able to assist management in maintaining a safe work environment.

What You’ll Need

• Mechanical and fabrication knowledge usually obtained through a 2 yr. post-secondary degree or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
• One to three years of knowledge of maintenance procedures and tooling obtained through previous work experience in mechanic and light welding.

What Sets You Apart

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License with acceptable driving record or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat with tanker endorsement.

$22.64 - $31.14 Individual Compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
