Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Diesel or Heavy Equipment Technology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on heavy equipment repair or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy mining equipment and major components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems to identify failures and minimize downtime.
• Perform component removal, installation, disassembly, reassembly, testing, and adjustment.
• Conduct inspections and root-cause failure analysis to improve reliability.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining safety and workmanship standards.
• Follow all safety and contamination control procedures including HAZMAT.
• Accurately complete work orders, inspections, parts requirements, and repair documentation.
• Communicate repair progress and technical recommendations with supervisors and customers.
