Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Technician for the Elko, NV area to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy mining equipment. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems, and a commitment to safety and workmanship.

Onsite support at the Elko branch, with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package. You will perform repairs, document work, and provide technical recommendations to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Hands-on repair and maintenance of heavy equipment experience.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy mining equipment and major components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems to identify failures.
• Perform component removal, installation, disassembly, reassembly, testing, and adjustment.
• Conduct inspections and root-cause failure analysis to improve equipment reliability.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.
• Follow safety, contamination control, and HAZMAT procedures on site.
• Accurately complete work orders, inspections, parts requirements, and repair documentation.
• Communicate repair progress and recommendations with supervisors and customers.
