Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. in Elko, NV is seeking a Field Technician to service heavy mining equipment at our Elko branch. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain components, ensuring reliability and uptime.

This onsite role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of experience, and a hands-on mechanical background across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems. Relocation assistance is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on heavy equipment repair or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy mining equipment and major components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems to minimize downtime.
• Perform component removal, installation, disassembly, reassembly, testing, and adjustment.
• Conduct inspections and root-cause failure analysis to improve reliability.
• Complete repairs with attention to quality, safety, and workmanship.
• Follow safety, contamination control, and HAZMAT procedures.
• Accurately complete work orders, inspections, parts requirements, and repair documentation.
• Communicate repair progress and recommendations with supervisors and customers.
