Job summary

Bulk Equipment Corp. in Crawfordsville, IN seeks an Operating Technician to support 24-hour mill maintenance and safe operation of refractory tearout equipment such as LAG, Gradall, and KT Grant machines.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing equipment at customer sites, completing work orders, and ensuring safety and operational standards are met on site. Willingness to work overtime as required and travel locally.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of operating heavy equipment (straight boom excavators and refractory demolition preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with hydraulics, powertrain, electronics and diesel systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Perform routine inspections and services on equipment.
• Safely operate refractory Tearout equipment (LAG, Gradall, KT Grant).
• Complete pre-shift inspections and grease equipment at start of shift.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing needs and time constraints.
• Respond promptly to service calls and follow safety policies.
• Maintain PPE and a clean, safe work area.
• Create parts lists and communicate with site management/purchasing.
