EquipmentShare in Raleigh, NC, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of rental equipment and aerial lifts at our Raleigh facility. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime and on-call options, focusing on real-time diagnostics and safe work practices.

You will work with laptops/tablets to manage work orders, track service intervals, and diagnose issues on a variety of machines while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders and track service intervals.
• Order parts and diagnose issues from a variety of makes/models.
• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Train lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed daily.
