Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field and Shop Technician to maintain our diverse fleet. You will diagnose using diagnostic software and hands-on skills to fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on-site.

The role requires interpreting schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and mentoring junior mechanics. A valid driver's license and high school diploma are required; OSHA familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining heavy equipment, aerial lifts, or diesel engine systems.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams.
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical diagnostic procedures.
Own a personal set of professional-grade tools and a valid driver's license.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components to minimize equipment downtime.
Interpret complex technical schematics and wiring diagrams to isolate and resolve system failures.
Maintain detailed digital service records and work orders for fleet health and maintenance transparency.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics to foster team growth and skill development.
Coordinate with logistics teams to assist in the efficient transport and staging of equipment and necessary repair parts.
Execute preventative maintenance schedules to extend the lifecycle of high-value machinery.
