Job summary

Opifex-Synergy is seeking a Service Technician to manage in-shop, repair, maintenance, and test tasks for heavy equipment. You will diagnose errors, determine proper solutions, and communicate equipment status to the team and customers.

The role spans on-site shop work and field assignments with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, routine maintenance, tool maintenance per MSHA/OSHA rules, and timely service reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Performs routine equipment clean-up and safety inspections.
• Inspects, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts heavy equipment and completes paperwork.
• Ties workflow to schedule and coordinates with team.
• Maintains tools per safety regulations (MSHA/OSHA).
• Produces timely and detailed service reports and communicates with coworkers.
