Job summary

Opifex-Synergy seeks a Service Technician to oversee in-shop, repair, maintenance and testing tasks for heavy equipment across job sites. You will diagnose faults, select proper solutions, and communicate findings with the team.

You will follow MSHA/OSHA safety practices, contribute to service reports, and assist in training other technicians while supporting a culture of safety and quality. This is a full-time role with growth and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses all equipment types to ensure proper working condition.
• Performs routine equipment cleaning, upkeep, safety review and pre-delivery inspections.
• Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions and adjusts heavy equipment and completes paperwork.
• Participate in training programs directed by Manager.
• Maintain tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulations.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and use field automation systems.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols.
• Train and assist other technicians as needed.
