Responsibilities:

Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time heavy equipment Field Technician / mechanic for our Orlando, FL location. The primary responsibilities include:

• Complete inspections
• Power washing and parts cleaning
• Removal and installation of parts
• Implementation of optional accessories
• Maintenance
• On the road diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Testing
• General repairs on the road
• Driving company truck to customer locations
• Upkeep of the service truck
• Inventory management of onboard parts
• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and be ready for work at the designated start time

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of heavy equipment or over-the-road (OTR) repair experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of engine, powertrain, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Own tools
• Positive attitude and high energy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Volvo VCADS
• Intermediate reading, writing, and speaking skills in English
• Basic mathematical skills
• Intermediate reasoning ability
