Job summary

Ohio CAT is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Caterpillar machines in the field. You’ll work from a service truck, handling diagnostics and repairs on engines, drive-train, electrical and hydraulic systems.

The role requires a diesel/power equipment tech background, 3–5 years of hands-on experience, a valid license, and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card. Benefits include health options and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, plus a 2-year diesel or power equipment tech program.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience; 5 years hands-on repair preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; DOT Medical Card obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repair on Caterpillar heavy equipment in the field.
• Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, rebuild components.
• Service A/C systems, maintain detailed service records, ensure safety protocols.
• Collaborate with technicians and adhere to company standards.
