Heavy Equipment Field Service Diesel Technician / Mechanic

Responsibilities

Our construction equipment group is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Complete inspections
• Removal and installation of parts
• Implementation of optional accessories
• Maintenance
• Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Testing
• General repairs
• Manage onboard parts inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and be ready for work at the designated start time

We encourage participation in our in-house training to enhance diagnosis and troubleshooting skills and support career advancement. Company uniforms are provided!

Qualifications

• Preferred: Three years of heavy equipment repair experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude; understanding of engine, power train, hydraulics, electrical systems
• Own tools required
• Positive attitude and high energy
• Clean driving record
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
• Language skills: Ability to read, interpret, write reports, and communicate effectively
• Mathematical skills: Basic operations with numbers, units of measurement
• Reasoning skills: Ability to follow instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Physical/Sensory: Standing, walking, manual dexterity, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting
• Lift/Move: Up to 25 lbs regularly; 26-50 lbs frequently; over 50 lbs occasionally
• Environment: Near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes, outdoor weather, wet/humid conditions, potential electrical hazards
