Job summary

Venus Construction, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to repair and service heavy construction equipment on job sites throughout Texas, including Mansfield.

You will diagnose, test, order parts, and perform maintenance to keep company assets productive and cost-efficient. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, identifying mechanical problems with diagnostic tools, recording all work in orders, ordering parts, and ensuring a safe, organized workspace that meets OSHA

Responsibilities

• Performs proficient inspection, diagnosis, and moderately complex repair of heavy equipment.
• Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment
• Records and reports all diagnostic & repairs performed on equipment in work orders.
• Orders and installs replacement parts for heavy mobile equipment.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains Mechanic truck, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Maintains a safe work area in compliance with Company/OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Other related tasks as assigned

This includes diagnosing, troubleshooting, parts ordering, maintenance & repair of company assets, and proper communication with others and ensures accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement in a time-efficient and cost-effective manner.
