Job summary

This full-time on-site role requires 2+ years of field experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred).
• 2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, diesel mechanic, or related field.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate and test heavy machinery safely.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on heavy equipment.
• Inspect and test equipment for safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct system overhauls, rebuilds, and part replacements as needed.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete repair documentation.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and workplace procedures.
• Assist in training operators on proper equipment use and basic maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure equipment is operational.
