Job summary

Husqvarna Construction in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to diagnose, evaluate, and repair a range of electric, battery, and gas powered construction equipment. You will handle equipment returns, rework inventory, and collaborate with customers and the Technical Services team.

The role emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving, and ability to read detailed blueprints. Physical duties include lifting up to 75 pounds and working with a variety of power tools and machinery.

Qualifications

Five or more years' experience in assembly, service and/or fabrication preferred.
Advanced training or education is a plus but not required.
Basic PC experience.
Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic blueprints and schematics (Preferred).
Sound judgment, problem solving and cross‑department collaboration.
Ability to lift 75 pounds, push, climb, and reach as part of daily duties.
Entry‑level applicants who show mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn will be considered.

Responsibilities

Providing hands‑on support to diagnose, evaluate, and repair a variety of electric‑, battery‑ and gas‑powered construction equipment.
Processing equipment returned by customers.
Reworking or modifying equipment in our inventory.
Interacting with customers, field sales and other members of the Technical Services group.
