Job summary

HOLT Group is seeking an entry-level technician in Texas to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment or related components. You may work alone or with a team to meet customer needs and departmental goals.

The role requires two or more years of experience or relevant knowledge, follows established guidelines, and emphasizes safety and continuous learning. Overtime may be required to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Two+ years of related work experience or knowledge.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions.
  • Disassembles and assembles basic machine components to manufacturer specifications using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized tooling.
  • Performs rebuilding, repairing, reconditioning, and maintenance of equipment and components.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of estimating, planning, and controlling cost of repair jobs.
  • Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return.
  • Maintains all equipment and work areas in good, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Works safely and adheres to all safety policies and company standards.
  • Overtime as required by workload and customer needs.
  • Updates job knowledge via training opportunities (e.g., ProTech Technician Training Paths).
  • Regular and punctual attendance required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
