Job summary

Texas First Rentals, backed by HOLT, is seeking an entry- to mid-level Heavy Equipment Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment following established procedures. You may work independently or as part of a team to meet customer needs and departmental goals.

Two or more years of related experience are preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The role emphasizes safe operation, quality workmanship, and ongoing learning through training paths.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions and failures
• Performs some disassembly and assembly of basic machine components to manufacturer’s specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
• Performs some rebuilding, repairing, reconditioning, and maintenance of equipment and components
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of estimating, planning, and controlling cost of repair jobs
• Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return
• Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.g., ProTech Technician Training Paths
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned
