Requirements include 3 years of maintenance experience or equivalent, and the ability to obtain ASE certification, Refrigerant Recovery certification, and a Class B CDL within the stated timeframes.

The purpose of this position is to service heavy-duty trucks and equipment by completing preventive maintenance and routine repairs. Other duties include performance of shop maintenance and housekeeping functions, performing service calls, and picking up parts from various vendors when needed.
Education: Six-months to one year of advanced study or training beyond high school or GED education.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience performing maintenance on a variety of different vehicles OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Notes: Driving check and criminal background checks are required for the selected candidate. Post-offer drug screen is also required for the selected candidate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Exerting 50-100 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10-20 lbs. constantly
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position generally requires work in a shop setting.

Health Benefits are offered to employees working at least 30 hours per week.
The City offers two options for health coverage: a standard PPO plan and a High Deductible Health Plan with an associated Health Savings Account. Coverage becomes effective the first day of the month following hire for employees and their eligible dependents. Both you and the City contribute to the overall cost of coverage.
